Relationship between ball bearings and vehicles

Bearing products, especially ball bearings, are always said to have a close relationship with automobiles. In fact, this is very true. Moreover, they can be used to solve some problems that other parts cannot meet the requirements. For example, when the surface on which the vehicle is driving is either slippery or extremely rough, some methods such as steering, accelerating, and braking are not enough to control the vehicle. In such situations, this kind of bearing product is needed.

Ball bearings are a widely used type of bearing product. They mainly support radial and moderate axial loads. They also have a low coefficient of friction, high limiting speed, wide size range, and various structures. They can typically be used in electric motors, automotive applications, home appliances, and industrial equipment.

They can be further divided into different categories, such as miniature ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings, and flanged ball bearings, etc. All of them have specific functions and characteristics.

Of course, their series can also be different. There are ball bearings with single or double side rubber seal RS, 2RS, with single or double side metal cover Z and ZZ (2Z), with snap ring groove in outer ring N, or with snap ring groove in the outer ring and outer snap ring NR. They have different radial clearances such as C5, C4, C3, and C2.

As mentioned at the beginning, they can be used in vehicles to meet specific requirements. In vehicles, they can support axial and radial loads to maintain balance during speed changes. They can also be used to reduce rotational friction between the vehicle and the surface on which it is traveling.

There are many advantages when they are used in automobiles. First, they allow the vehicle to adapt when driving through different terrains, such as rough roads and smooth asphalt roads. Second, they help improve the vehicle's performance and allow for a smoother ride as the brakes are subjected to less pressure to control the car's speed while driving. They can also help absorb the shock felt by passengers during sudden braking.

Apart from some advantages, there are also some disadvantages for their application in vehicles. For example, they can cause misalignment of the wheel, which in turn can lead to driving accidents. Therefore, ball bearings should be maintained regularly. They are really important mechanical products in many industries.
